The play will be performed at 7.30pm on Wednesday 28th July on the back lawn of Ford House. Gates open at 6.30pm for picnics – refreshments & bar available.

We have been hosting travelling outdoor theatre companies at Ford Park for the last 5 or six years. These plays are performed in the grounds of Ford House where we have spectacular views over Morecambe Bay as well as being nestled beneath the Hill of Hoad, which is topped off by the Sir John Barrow monument.

The Shakespeare plays always attract a loyal audience who bring picnics and sometimes warm clothing. For although we stage these events in the summer you can't always rely on a warm barmy evening. One year we booked the Tempest and were visited that evening by a downpour of biblical proportions, but the show went on and all agreed it lent a lot to the performance.
