18th Feb – Tree Detective: Grizedale Hall. How old is the famous Grizedale monkeypuzzle, who planted it and why? Chartered forester and arboriculturalist Luke Steer shares insights into the people and planting behind the magnificent legacy of trees which remain at Grizedale long after the demise of Grizedale Hall.
25th Feb - Airships & Balloon Adventures: Join Peter Ward, former Airship Association Chairman and helium gas specialist, as he outlines the history of Vickers Barrow airship building and shares first hand experiences of being part of Richard Branson’s Global Challenger Balloon team.
3rd March – This Will Blow Your Socks Off: In a challenge to conventional theory author Simon A. Clarke will tell you what anthropologists, archaeologists and geneticists can’t tell you about human history.
