Park and Gardens

Natural Playground

The grounds of Ford Park are one giant natural play area with trees to climb, mounds and hills to tumble on, tunnels to explore and secret paths disappearing in to the trees. The playground allows children to explore and enjoy the natural features of the grounds whilst parents can feel safe in the knowledge that all equipment has been specially designed to meet safety standards.

Combined with the Nature Trail and Orienteering Course it gives children big and small a great opportunity to interact with nature whilst having fun.

The mounds which surround the Natural Playground and the Butterfly Mound were all formed using waste from the Coach House Redevelopment Project which otherwise would have gone to landfill.
