Orienteering Course

Orienteering is a challenging outdoor adventure sport that exercises both the mind and the body. The aim is to navigate in sequence between control points marked on a unique orienteering map. The Ford Park Orienteering course is an introductory course for beginners developed with support from the Lakeland Orienteering Club and the leaflet can be collected from the Cafe

Other South Lakes orienteering courses can be found in Grizedale Forest and the National Trust Low Wray and Great Langdale camp sites. More information about local clubs and opportunities for orienteering can be found on the British Orienteering web site
