Open-air theatre is set to return to Ford Park next week as the Festival Players bring their latest touring production of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale – and there’s still time to purchase your tickets!
The popular theatre company, who have delighted audiences at the Ulverston park for the past two years, return on Friday 27 July with this intriguing mix of drama and comedy.
Written by William Shakespeare in his later years, The Winter’s Tale features jealousy and joy, revenge and romance, loss and discovery, remorse and revelry, and an amazing revelation. Combined with an all-male, colourful production from the Festival Players, it promises to be tremendous entertainment for a summer evening.
The performance starts at 7.30pm, with the park open for picnics beforehand, and visitors are asked to bring their own seating, rugs or blankets. Hot and cold drinks and refreshments will be available.

Tickets are £13 for adults, £12 concessions, £8 children/students and £36 for a family ticket (2 adults/2 children) 10% discount for parties of 10 or more. Please note tickets are non-refundable.
