Glass artist hosts impressive exhibition to raise money for Ford Park
Talented glass artist Marilyn Hale has opened an exhibition of her work at Ford Park in Ulverston.
Marilyn, who works from her studio at Bowstead Gates, Newland – not far from Ford Park – is raising money for the charity-run green space by donating all profits from the sales of her exhibition to help maintain the park.
The exhibition, which is now open, displays works of art in glass, but also features a few pieces in acrylic paints, which Marilyn has recently been experimenting with.
She said: “As a regular visitor and supporter of Ford Park, which is such a beautiful space in the heart of Ulverston, I wanted to help raise money which can be used towards maintaining the park and ensure it continues to be enjoyed by future generations.”
Marilyn holds glass fusing classes and workshops for beginners and more experienced fusers at her studio, alongside classes in acrylic paint.
