Huge thanks to the OneAIM team for professional volunteer support

We just wanted to say thank you to the team at OneAIM (www.one-aim.co.uk) for supporting our volunteers by providing in-kind support by painting ‘at height’ areas of our Coach House.

Visitors to Ford Park recently may have noticed our popular café and well-used function room are undergoing a refurbishment – including freshly painted walls.

Volunteers have completed much of the painting themselves, but required assistance from professionals with painting the stairwells as this presented a significant, at height risk, that we (Ford Park Community Group) are not properly equipped or qualified to under-take with our volunteers.

Following a request for support, OneAIM (a joint venture based at Sellafield site) helped in kind by providing two professional painters to paint the stairwell, toilets and landing areas.

OneAIM is a joint venture between Wood and Interserve based at Sellafield site, delivering the Operation Site Works Framework over the next 3 years. In addition to the works on site, OneAIM has committed to having a Social Impact to the local area.

“We are really proud to say our business is committed to having a social impact in the local area. We endeavour to help organisations that benefit local people and have a positive impact in the region; Ford Park is a fantastic example” added Luke Richardson, Social Impact Manager for OneAIM.

“The timely and professional help from the OneAIM team has made a significant improvement to Ford Park, a community green space in the heart of Ulverston. We did not have the appropriate skills in our volunteer team to undertake this work safely and we are very grateful to OneAIM for their help in assisting us with the refurbishment, the work has been completed to a very high standard” said Suzanne Pender, Chair of Ford Park Trustees.

“The work carried out by the professional painters looks fantastic and as a charity, we are really grateful to the OneAIM team for the support – they were a pleasure to work with” said Jill Salmon, Chief Executive of Ford Park.

Thanks again OneAIM!
