We are delighted to welcome local artist Daniel Cooper and his new solo exhibition ‘The Sky’s the Limit’ to Ford Park.

Showing exclusively signed limited edition prints, including some new editions depicting the landscape from Ford Park and Hoad Hill, the exhibition contains views from around the Lake District – a landscape often dominated by the dramatic and sublime happenings in the skies.

Having lived in Ulverston, Cooper continues to visit the town for new inspiration, focusing on the iconic Sir John Barrow Monument, which overlooks Ford Park.

He said: “There isn’t anywhere else like it. If you think of hills and fells in Cumbria, one naturally finds themselves in the Lakes – Ulverston has its own well-trodden and much admired views from around Hoad Hill.”

‘The Sky’s the Limit’ will open to the public at Ford Park from April 9 until July 6 – and for the most part, will run alongside Cooper’s major solo show at Brantwood in Coniston. Starting on June 8, ‘Reflections of Imagination’ will show Cooper’s original works inspired by his residency last year and is set to be one of the highlights of this year’s celebrations of the bicentenary of John Ruskin’s birth.
