Become a Volunteer
Tuesdays and Thursdays are regular volunteering days, but there are also opportunites to support events in the evenings and weekends and during the school holidays.
Currently we need skills in: gardening, bricklaying, plumbing, arts and crafts, event management, woodwork and walling but most importantly enthusiasm and a willingness to give things a go.
If you would like to find out about volunteering and visit Ford Park for an informal chat and tour to discuss how you could be involved please contact Cat on 01229 588164 or firstname.lastname@example.org
We are delighted to introduce our new Volunteer Manager Cat Moffatt to our team. Cat brings many credentials to our group and will continue to grow and develop our volunteer programme here at Ford Park.
Here are a few words from Cat "I have grown up around gardening and home-grown produce, on a farm in the Yorkshire Dales with a large kitchen garden. My family always made their own chutneys, cordials for example. I am a keen and adventurous cook, always preferring to use locally sourced ingredients. I care deeply about the environment and how our own actions and lifestyles impact upon the natural world. I like rock music. My favourite colour is purple. I hula hoop dance with fire and poi dance at festivals in my spare time. From a work history point of view most recently I have been involved with a project aimed at early intervention with young people around domestic violence in schools and I also worked with 16- 25 year olds at risk of homelessness. I volunteer myself as a breastfeeding supporter with Barnardos."
