Our Ford Park volunteers are looking forward to learning traditional woodland management skills – thanks to an exciting opportunity with the Rusland Horizons project.
For a whole year (one day per month), 5 of our volunteers will be joining up with other local voluntary agencies to spend time with the Rusland Horizons team, to learn every aspect of traditional woodland management – from coppicing to charcoal making and dead-hedge-laying.
It’s a brilliant opportunity for our volunteers to learn new, specialised skills and bring those skills back to the team here at Ford Park.
