Visit Us

So much more than a park – Ford Park is your charity-run park in the heart of Ulverston.

There’s plenty for all to do at Ford Park, from having fun on the adventure playground and discovering the trails, to enjoying the sights and smells in the walled kitchen garden and relaxing in the orchard. Our plant nursery offers a range of beautiful, quality plants, while children can explore the trails and zg zag pathway. With family events and activities held throughout the year, there’s always plenty going on.

Getting to us can be a bit tricky. Our postcode is LA12 7JP but if you follow your sat nav, you could end up in the wrong place.

Ford Park is situated just below the Sir John Barrow Monument, on Hoad Hill. To find us, turn off the A590 into Hart Street, you’ll see the Swan Inn and the Swan Chinese take away on your left. Go about 500yds and turn right into Ford Park Crescent,  continue driving and you will see the entrance to the park ahead.  Drive through the entrance and follow the road to the car park, which is on the right hand side (opposite the natural play area)

Located within the park is Base, a contemporary restaurant offering freshly prepared food using local produce and ingredients grown in our kitchen garden. With delicious menus to suit a range of tastes and dietary needs – it’s a wonderful place to visit.

The park is open 7 days a week, with car parking available. To pay for parking please pop cash into the donation baxes on the car park, or pay via our website by clicking here.

All monies raised from parking goes toward the upkeep of the park.
