Dining at the heart of the park –
With delicious, freshly prepared food, using local produce and ingredients grown in our kitchen garden, our friendly and welcoming cafe is the perfect place to visit.
Located a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Ulverston’s busy main streets and with free parking, a sheltered sunny courtyard and a roof terrace offering spectacular views over stunning Morecambe Bay, the cafe is a wonderful place to relax. There’s even a gallery space with regular exhibitions.
A treat for all tastes
Head Chef Steve Hartley is passionate about creating exciting menus to suit a range of tastes and dietary needs – from irresistible dishes and homemade cakes to bespoke children’s menus and special bistro evenings.
For our younger visitors, our build-your-own meal option certainly proves popular – pleasing even the fussiest of eaters!
Whilst our variety of additional menus – vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan – helps to ensure everyone can enjoy dining at the Coach House.
If having a picnic in the park is more your style, we also offer takeaway drinks and food, so all you need to do is choose somewhere to sit and relax in the spacious park!
Great locally-sourced food and ingredients – often from our very own Kitchen Garden – are at the heart of each and every seasonal dish we create.
Come and experience a taste of Ford Park all-year round…
Welcoming everyone – including muddy paws
Located within the park, it may be no surprise to discover that dogs are welcome at the cafe – infact, we have a dog-friendly area where our four-legged friends can enjoy a rest, a drink of water and a doggy biscuit!
We are a registered breastfeeding friendly cafe, with lots of space for pushchairs and a toy basket to keep the little ones entertained.
With wheelchair access also, the cafe is the ideal place to dine with family, enjoy a coffee with friends or indulge in a delicious afternoon tea with loved ones.

“What a lovely mid morning breakfast I had here with my family. The food was gorgeous and very well presented, the sun filled the Cafe and we had a walk around the gardens and grounds afterwards. Reasonably priced too!!! I’m looking forward to my next visit!”
“Simply stunning. Visited with wife and son from a friend’s recommendation. Perfect food, very well presented. Faultless.”
“I had the best experience I have ever had while eating out. The food was amazing, the service excellent. And the children’s menu so many healthy choices. And a great little basket of things to play with. Will definitely return. I thanked the chef and staff before I left.”
“Eight ladies, including me, had a Fizzy Friday event at Ford Park and it was fabulous. The people there really looked after us, the food was wonderful and the Prosecco flowed. One of the ladies ordered a portion of chips to go with her tea and they were very nice too. I’m sure we’ll visit again. ”
“A great venue which we visit a couple of times a week – the cafe is always good and great value for money. We also ate here for a special 3 course Easter lunch and must say the food was outstanding – one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time.”
“The food is beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I am lactose intolerant so it was a delight to find a dairy free menu on the table. It’s a pity the sandwich was so filling otherwise could have had a dairy free scone or cake. I will definitely be back.”
“Lovely breakfast at The Coach House yesterday! Great food and excellent service. Would highly recommend!”
“Always excellent food, beautifully presented and very competitively priced.”
“Menu choices are great with plenty of vegetarian options for my daughter – impressed to see there is also a gluten free menu.”
