How can you support your community park?

As a charity run park, Ford Park relies on the support of the local community, visitors, events and grants funding to raise the £120,000 a year it costs to keep our beautiful park, open and safe for all to enjoy.

And we really can’t do it without you, and there are lots of ways you can support the park.

Become a Member.

Ford Park Membership is the easiest way to show your support for the park. Whether you’re a parent or grandparent who wants to preserve the park for future generations, a dog owner who enjoys dog walks in the park, a runner or walker that loves the paths through to Hoad or someone who loves to meet up with friends, explore the park and enjoys being outdoors – then we would love to see you join as a member.

Membership starts from just £3 a month, about the same price as a cup of coffee or a Sunday newspaper and comes with ‘Park Perks’!

Become a Volunteer.

You don’t have to be an expert gardener to volunteer with us. In fact, you don’t have to be a gardener at all – we have lots of volunteering opportunities. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and do everything from office admin to directing traffic on the field, to running a tombola at an event to path maintenance and delivering family activities.

Click below for more information on volunteering with Ford Park, or contact our Volunteer Officer Moray to arrange an informal chat over a brew (sometimes there’s cake!) or by email at moray.laxton@ford-park.org.uk

Join the Ford Park Lottery.

When you play the Ford Park Lottery, you could win up to £25K every week while supporting the work our team and volunteers do in the park.

It costs just £1 per week to play (charged monthly) and is a great way to support your local park.

Fundraise For Us.

Fancy organising your own fundraiser? As a small team, we can’t hold as many events as we would like, but we can support you with your events.

Our Fundraising Team will help you plan your event, design posters and social media graphics for you, supply you with sponsorship forms and collection buckets too.

So whether you want to hold a bake sale, a sponsored walk, a quiz night or something else – we can help. Email suzanne.edgley@ford-park.org.uk

Make a Donation.

As a local charity, we rely heavily on the support of those who love and use the park. A one-off or regular donation will help us to maintain and develop the play area, woodland trails and pathways, orchard and walled garden, wild flower areas and support our volunteers. No matter how big or small, every donation makes a huge difference to the work we do and to our local community.

Make a Car Parking Donation.

Our car park is maintained by the Ford Park Community Group and relies on donations for its use to keep it operational and free of pay and display machines. You can pop cash into the donation box on the car park, or click below to pay online.

The charity thanks you for any donations you feel able to contribute.

Sponsor a Tree or Memorial Bench.
