Walled Garden & Plant Nursery.
Our gardening team, with the help of dedicated volunteers, care for the park all-year-round, delighting us with bright dahlias in the summer, in the Walled Garden, and the golden-hues in the autumnal haze, the park and gardens are a delight to the senses all year round.
With open fields, woodland, trails, wildflower meadow and an orchard surrounding Grade Two listed buildings, there’s nowhere like Ford Park in Ulverston.
Our plant nursery, situated within the walled kitchen garden, is perfect for picking up plants for your own garden or to browse and admire the vivid colours and wonderful smells the garden offers.
We have a range of wildlife-friendly perennials, vegetable plants, herbs and produce for sale, and with our friendly gardening team on hand to offer planting advice, no trip to Ford Park is complete without a visit to the plant nursery. All our plants for sale are potted in organic, peat-free compost.

Ford Park is run by the community, for the community and proud to support organisations such as Incredible Edible Ulverston.
Children's Activities
Alongside our adventure playground, which can provide hours of fun, we have trails to explore, and seasonal activities such as gardening-based fun for those with green fingers, and arts and crafts for children who love to be creative.
