Apple Day

Apple Day is back this October at Ford Park!

Grab your apples and bring them along to be pressed for your own apple juice with a suggested donation of £3 per press.

Apple Day is a celebration of all things apple, with lots of stalls from local traders and fun for all the family. The event is a free event so bring everyone along for a lovely day in the park.

The apple press will be operational from 12 until 3pm and each person is limited to 10kg of apples. Do bring your own containers too, whether they're reused bottles or milk cartons, as the Park is unable to provide them. As a guide, 1kg of apples should provide for 700ml of apple juice.

Enjoy traditional games and kid’s crafts. 

Have your face painted. 

Have a go on the raffle and name the teddy. 

Visit the stalls and the Beehive. 

Take a stroll around the garden. 

Grab a bite to eat. 

Need compost? Bring and bag and take home some of Toby’s amazing compost for a small charge. 

And this year Apple Bake Off is back!

Following the success of last years Apple Bake Off we challenge you to dust off the mixing bowl and bring your homemade apple inspired cakes, bakes, puddings and preserves and see if you’ll be crowned the Apple Day Bake Off Star Baker of 2024! 

So, pop the date in your diary, share with everyone and let’s have a fabulous day celebrating all things apples…
