Site Maintenance Officer 

Part-time Vacancy

​

Ford Park is looking for a Site Maintenance Officer (part-time, 2 days per week) to help keep our charity-run park safe, accessible and looking lovely for everyone who uses it.

​

This is a hands-on role working with our Park Director, Gardener and Volunteer Officer, looking after the day-to-day maintenance of the park — from paths, trails, benches and signage, to coordinating contractors, checking equipment, supporting volunteer jobs, and helping us plan seasonal maintenance across the grounds and gardens.

​

If you love practical work, being outdoors, and taking pride in a place that means a lot to the community, we’d love to hear from you.

​

  • Hours: Part-time (2 days per week)

  • Salary: £26,560 per year (pro-rata)

​

Closing date for applications is 5pm Tuesday 31st March 2026 and interviews will be held during the week commencing 13th April 2026.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do here at Ford Park, but it’s not just the green fingered, garden loving volunteers we need…

We’re looking for volunteers who would love to be involved in some of the events we have here at Ford Park.

​

People who would like to help with:

  • Putting up and taking down gazebos

  • Checking tickets and directing vehicles

  • Running stalls

  • Taking photographs

  • Selling raffle tickets and membership

  • Promoting our events

  • And so much more

Volunteering at Ford Park is so rewarding. You meet so many other amazing people and be part of the events that help keep For Park a safe and enjoyable place for the whole community to enjoy.

Trustee Opportunities

Ford ParkCommunity Group is a local charity, and our trustees play a vital role in helping us look after this much loved community green space for everyone to enjoy.

 

Becoming a trustee is a chance to use your skills and a experience to support the park's future - helping guide plans, make good decisions and ensure Ford Park continues to be safe, welcoming and sustainable for generations to come.

We' re always happy to hear from peole who care about Ford Park and want to get involved, and would be especially keen to hear from anyone with a legal background.
