If you’ve ever hired the Williams Room, come along to a group, or joined us for a meeting at Ford Park, you’ll know it’s an important space.
The community room used by local groups and private hires throughout the year, and that support plays a big part in helping Ford Park keep going. The income from room hire helps us look after the park and keep improving the everyday, practical things that make Ford Park a welcoming community green space.
We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to Town Lands for their support. They have awarded Ford Park a grant which has helped us upgrade the heating system in the Williams Room.
These kinds of donations make a real difference. The heating in the Williams Room has been broken for a while, and it’s been a real frustration for everyone who uses the space.
Thanks to the funding we’ve received, we’ve been able to replace the old system and install new radiators, which is a big step forward for comfort and usability.
We’re really pleased to be able to make the room a warmer, more comfortable space again, especially for the groups who use it regularly.
Next on the list: repainting! We’d love to repaint the room and give it a freshen up.
So, if you know of a local decorating company (or a business with a team day to spare) who might be willing to donate a day to help us get it done, we’d be so grateful to hear from you.
Thank you again to Town Lands, and to everyone who hires our rooms and supports Ford Park in many ways. It genuinely helps keep the park and community space here for the whole community.
