A Very Special Milestone

We’re delighted to share a very special milestone. Bernard and Elizabeth Ellis recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary!
Bernard and Elizabeth were instrumental in the early years of the Ford Park community group, dedicating their time, energy, and warmth to help shape the park into the welcoming space we all enjoy today.
In recognition of their incredible commitment and this wonderful occasion, Bernard and Elizabeth were invited to plant two Liquidambar trees near the entrance to Ford Park. These beautiful trees will stand as a living tribute to their hard work, kindness, and the lasting friendships they helped to nurture within our community.
To mark the occasion, Jean Povey created a beautiful certificate, honouring both their diamond anniversary and the spirit of goodwill and connection they brought to Ford Park in its formative years.
We wish Bernard and Elizabeth many more years of happiness together and thank them for the roots they’ve helped put down, both in the park and in the hearts of everyone who loves Ford Park.
Next year will be the 25th Anniversary of the Ford Park Community Group - the charity that looks after the park - and we would love to hear from anyone who was involved in those early years and helped create the wonderful park we know and love today.
