This month has seen the first of our school education visits at Ford Park.
Earlier this year, local schools were invited to discover the magic of nature at Ford Park with school visits that offer children a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, learn about where food comes from, and develop eco-friendly habits with hands-on activities.
We were thrilled to welcome children from reception, year one and year two from Newton Village School for our very first educations visit of 2025.
Their teachers had selected 2 activities for the children. Compost Lasagne with Toby and Bug Hotels with Moray.
The children loved exploring the compost area and learning about the different types of composts bins, how they work and ways they can compost at home.
They learned all about Bugs in their session with Moray, and before building their own bug hotels, they discovered what it was like to be a bug…
Thank you to the teachers and children for allowing us to share these great pictures, and we can’t wait to welcome the other school groups this year.
