This half term at Ford Park we have lots of Halloween fun - pumpkin trails, creepy crawlies, woodland adventures… and a few things that might make you jump!

If you're looking for something to do with the children this half term that doesn't cost a fortune, come along to Ford Park from Monday 26th to Friday 30th October for a little bit of Halloween fun, fresh air and outdoor adventure.

The park is a great place to spend a few hours together during the holidays - and this half term, we're adding a few spooky surprises along the way.

There'll be pumpkins to find, creepy crawlies hiding in the garden, woodland creatures to spot and, if you're feeling brave, somewhere a little bit creepy to explore…

🎃 Can you find all the pumpkins?

Head into the garden and follow our Halloween Pumpkin Trail. You'll need to keep your eyes peeled because the pumpkins are hiding around the garden!

As you follow the trail, use your trail sheet to draw the spooky faces you find. Then, when you've completed the trail, you can have a go at creating your very own pumpkin face.

Will yours be scary? Silly? Happy? Grumpy? Or perhaps just a little bit pumpkin-y? 🎃

🕷️ Something spooky is hiding in the garden…

It's not just pumpkins you'll find.Keep looking as you wander around and you might spot spiders and their webs, creepy crawlies and a few other Halloween visitors hiding...there might even be a bat or two hanging around.

And don't forget to visit the Fernery. We can't promise that it's haunted...But we also can't promise that it isn't!

Don't forget to check out the Woodland Trail to see how many of the animals you can identify along the way. There are activity sheets in the garden to help you along the way.

Of course, Halloween isn't the only reason to come to Ford Park.

You can still enjoy all the things that make the park such a lovely place to spend time together:

Half term fun can be as simple as getting everyone out of the house, pulling on their wellies, finding something fun to do and enjoying some time together.

So dress for our lovley Cumbrian weather and come and get a little bit spooky with us at Ford Park this half term.

And if you do see something moving in the Fernery…well...we didn't see anything. 👀
