A huge thank you to Anita and Paul at Ulverston Brewing Company for a brilliant donation to Ford Park.

They met with Steve Povey, one of our amazing volunteers and Master Composter, and kindly donated spent hops and cardboard (a winning combination for compost) from their Ulverston brewery. It’s a lovely example of local businesses and local charities working together, taking something that would otherwise be waste and putting it to good use in the park and garden.
Ulverston Brewery beers are sold in pubs and outlets right across the region proudly bearing the Ulverston crest, and with quirky names we all recognise such as Another Fine Mess and Laughing Gravy – if you’ve not been fortunate to come across their beers, take a look at their website https://ulverstonbrewingcompany.co.uk/
Partnerships like this really matter. When local businesses get behind Ford Park, it’s a win-win - it helps us look after the park in really practical ways, and it keeps that lovely ‘support local’ spirit going right here in Ulverston.
Thank you again, Ulverston Brewing Company - we really appreciate your support.
