Voulnteers turn their hands to model making.

Have you been to see Model Ulverston at The Coro?

Amy Whelan from the Coro had a fabulous idea to create a model of our lovely town to be put on display in the Coronation Hall.

She invited everyone to take part and recerate their home, business or favourite place using various materials and of course our volunteers jumped at the chance to get involved!

We may be just a little biased, but it turns out our wonderful volunteers don’t just have green fingers, they are also expert model makers. The attention to detail and the hours of work put into creating a model of Ford Park is amazing, with a team of volunteers recreating everything from the buildings, trees, playground, carpark and the garden, there’s even a model of Parker the papier mache dog.

We can’t thank our volunteers enough for their hard work and dedication, creating such an amazing replica of Ford Park - and once the exhibition closes at the beginning of September, we will be bringing the model back to the park to proudly display in the fernery for all to see.

There were so many people involved in this project, but special thanks has to go to Barbara, Paul, Theo. Allison. Marilyn, Cathy, Paul and Hazel.
